Am I Suffering From Thrombosed External Hemorrhoid?
Hi, I am a male, 20 years old, and am pretty sure that I have a thrombosed external hemroid (sp?). I noticed it yesterday and it is not very bothersome, painful, or even bleeding . It is smaller than a pea size. I have never had these before and I am wondering if it will eventually go away on its own. I am using Preparation H on it and keeping it clean and dry. Is there a way that it will go away so I can avoid going to the doctors office to have surgery?
Hi, Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic. Hemorrhoids are usually painless. Painful swelling could be due to a sentinel pile which is seen in people with fissure formation. Fissures develop due to constipation. I suggest you to take a diet with high dietary fiber. Consult the doctor for local examination of rectum to know the type of swelling. It wont go by itself and any underlying problem such as constipation has to be treated. Therefore I suggest you to consult the doctor for examination. Hope I have answered your query. Regards.
