Am I Putting Too Much Stress Onto My Heart?

hi, i am 18 and 175 pounds.

I've just started to workout doing 15 minute intervals of running. but i've noticed that my heart rate exceeds 200 bpm for a majority of that time period. is this bad? I'm concerned if i'm putting too much stress onto my heart.

hello,
I have gone through your query. Thanks for using HCM.
Basically there is formula of maximum heart which can be attained while exercising i.e. 220-Age=202 in your case,so can safely exericse till that level,However there should be gradual building up of duration of exercise.
My best wishes
Dr.Rajesh Teli,MD.
