Am Very Depressed, Cry All The Time, Am Carefree, Don't Find Any Joy In Anything. Want To Recover From This State. Treatment?
I am very , very depressed, cry all the time, and just don't care about anything, I have NO JOY at all, I can sit in a crowded room, and watch everyone relating to each other, and wonder what the world is so happy about. I have no peace. Am to cowardly to take my own life..is there any cure for me. I want my joy back, and want to care about something or anything in my life again. Have been this way for about a year now.
Depression is a serious condition. It affects emotional and physical well being.
Treatment involves the use of medication (anti depressants) as well as therapy.
The medication used is effective in most persons. The most commonly used medications are SSRI (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors). It can take 1 to 3 weeks for this type of medication to take effect and the dose would be adjusted for maximum effect.
It would be best for you to visit your doctor for an assessment. He or she would also suggest some blood tests to rule out another cause of your altered mood and medication would be given to help you.
I hope this helps and you feel better soon
