Any Advice For Discomforting Ovarian Cysts, Vomiting Lasting For Hours At Bed Time And Fever In Sleep?

Hi,
I have been seeing a specialist recently for ovarian cysts which cause a lot of discomfort. Unfortunately they haven't ruled out if they are cancerous or not. The past four days I have been vomiting and the first day it was very violent and lasted for 6 hours. It is always at night when I go to bed. I have been experiencing high fevers when I sleep for years and years now. The past month it is every night I wake up fevered and covered in sweat. I'm very concerned and my specialist is so busy I don't have an appointment until next month. Please any help will be appreciated. I can tell there is something wrong with melt body

Hello, I would be happy to help with your question.

Ovarian cysts can actually be quite normal as you form them every month with each new cycle. Given that I do not know your age, I cannot say a whole lot more about this, but if your doctor is worried about cancer, then an appointment in a month is completely inappropriate and reason enough to find another doctor. Also, the vomiting might be completely unrelated to your cycle and should be addressed by your primary doctor (and check a pregnancy test!). Finally, the night sweats might be related to decreased ovarian function and could also be addressed with labs (FSH) to determine if part of the problem is "ovarian failure".

I hope that this helps and good luck!
