Any Advise For Vertigo, Weakness, Dehydration, Head And Neck Ache In A 37 Yo Female Who Had Labyrinthitis?
Hi I am 37 female and have had Labyrinthiitis for the past week following a viral cold. I have vertigo which causes vomitting, constant nausea and room spinning on movements of my head. I have spent the past 5 days laying in bed 23.5 hours of each day. I am taking an anti sickness but nothing else has been prescribed or recommended. I am very weak as can't keep food down. I am struggling to keep hydrated, dyorolite is my best friend! I have head and neck ache and am going insane with the vertigo! Any advise to relieve my suffering? Many Thanks
Hi. For this what anti sickness medicine you are on. You can take treatment for vertigo as well ,like tab. Stemetil, tab. Vertin after consulting you dr. You must go for your check up once so that you don't get dehydrated at home. Also you may be advised to get X- ray Cervical spine to rule out cervical spondylitis. Just for precaution lie down on hard bed and don't take a pillow . You must also have been given some antibiotics and anti inflammatory drugs for labrynthitis. If it does not settle you may be investigated further. Thanks.
