Any Explanation On Ultrasound Results Showing "right Renal Pelvis-3.5mm, Left-7.8mm”?

Hi my name is Biby cherian i am asking this question about my 2 years old son .Recently he has had UTI he was on antibiotics,his pediatrician advised to do ultra sound abdomen and renal.the result shows his right renal pelvis-3.5mm left renal pelvis -7.8mm.I would like to know whether he needed any further investigation .can you please advice me

I really appreciate your concern this shows variation in measurement of pelvis, look the clinical sign and symptoms are very important than the radiological findings and most of the times these findings needs to be correlated with the clinical conditions so this is just nothing to worry this could be kind of congenital defects, hope this information helps you take care and have nice day.
