Hello,
The above results are suggestive for subclinical hypothyroidism (mild under active thyroid) that should be treated if you have symptoms of underactive thyroid (mild weight gain, hair loss, dry skin ect.).
Before starting the treatment there is important to try to find the cause of this condition. If you are taking amiodarone for cardiac arythmia, or if you have been treated with radioiodine in the past, please report.
The treatment in these cases is levothyroxine, the dose of which is decided by your body weight, the presence of cardiac pathologies, age ect.
It is not the cause of your weight loss.
Wish you good health.
Kind regards,
Dr.Mirjeta
