Any Suggestion To Reduce Acne?

I'm 13 and a girl with some acne that I can't seem to get rid of. My skin is a combination type. Sometimes it's oily and sometimes it's dry. I've heard of this medication called accutane but it seems to expensive and takes to much time. I was wondering some tips and guidelines to help not cure but help lower and decrease the amount of acne I have. Could you point me in that direction?

Hello,
Welcome to healthcare magic.
Treatment of acne depends on the grade and severity of acne. You have mentioned that you are 13, have a combination type skin and few acne lesions. You could benefit from using topical gels like clindamycin in the morning and 2.5% benzoyl peroxide/ adapelene combination at bedtime. You could use a cleanser like cetaphil OS. Accutane is a retinoid which is reserved for severe types of acne. It has to be taken only under the guidance of a dermatologist. It could have certain side effects which have to be monitored.
Have a balanced diet and avoid fried items and diet high in sugar content. Drink lots of water and exercise moderately.
Hope this helps you.
Take care.
