Any Suggestions For Vertigo, Pain, Clicking/ Popping Sounds In The Ears Since An Injury On The Head?

Thank you. My friend bumped her head against the side of a car getting in, one year ago. Since then, she is experiencing pain at the sight of her injury, dizziness, vertigo, clicking and popping sounds in her ear (she has seen a specialized dentist and will soon receive an appliance for her mouth area--hope it helps her), and pain in other random areas of her body. She has a problem with taking prescription medicine, but she does take the one her doctor gave her, but it is not working for her anymore. I'm very concerned because she lost her husband three years ago, and she is alone. She says she would try the Epley movements on her bed (a doctor diagnosed her with this ailment), except for the fact that she is alone. I'm not able to travel to her home to help her, and her family is not taking her health problems seriously. She's asked me if there is a doctor who specializes in dizziness, vertigo and Menier's disease. I found your website, and I hope you can help her... she lives in Troy/Rochester, MI. Thank you again. ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi, her doctor has diagnosed the problem right, she has inner ear proplem secondary to trauma.
She has to practice epleys manouvre rvery day.
She can also take labyrinthine sedatives with vasoactive drugs to reduce her giddiness for about 2 weeks.
These are prescription medications, so have to consult the doctor.
Ask her to take salt restricted diet.
She also has to do vestibular rehabilitation exercise daily.
All these will take some days then gradually thd body will get used to the giddiness and will attain balance .dont worry she will be fine. There is treatment for this inner ear problem but needs a specialist consultation.you cant self treat for this disease.

I really appreciate your concern, if I would be her doctor then I would treat her with the following medicines, keeping in mind that she must be having some functional elements,
1) Tab Chlorpromazine 10 mg three times in a day, of this information helps her take a good care of her Bye.
