Hi,
As you are taken treatment for the same complaint for 3 years, the other possible steps that can help you are:
- You might have used systemic and local antibiotics previously for itching of the outer surface of the vagina.
Going for vaginal culture and sensitivity and using the drugs, according to the report can lead to targeted treatment. Treating both partners simultaneously can prevent cross infections.
- Itch scratch cycle leads to continuous symptoms. By avoiding scratching, itching can be prevented.
- Using vaginal wash with PH between 3.5 to 4.5 instead of soaps with alkaline pH can decrease the symptoms.
-
Allergic reaction to any personal hygiene products or inner wear, etc. should be identified and that should be avoided.
- Try to use cotton undergarments which should be changed at least twice a day and also avoid tight fitting garments.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
