Are Amoxicillin And Clarithromycin The Right Medicine For H. Pylori Infection?

I have H. pylori infection. My doctor has proscribed me Amoxicillin and Clarithromycin but my stomach is still in constant pain and bloated. I started smoking marijuana because it would ease the pain. Is it safe to smoke marijuana while I am diagnosed with H. pylori?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Chemical irritants from marijuana can further aggravate your pain and condition in the long run.Since you just started taking maijuana i advice you stop.If i were your treating physician i will add metronidazole and omeprazole to what you have already. As for the pain, a steroidal anti-inflammatory will help and avoid going for long on an empty stomach.Discuss this with your treating physician
Wish you a speedy recovery
