welcome to Health care magic.

1.Letrature suggest there is 97% accuracy in detecting the sex of the baby at this level of pregnancy.
2.In this case what you can do is get a repeat scan with other doctor / technician for second opinion.
3.Grossly it will always comes out correct - but in some cases when chord, shadowing in the ultrasound, lie of the baby and vigorous movements can make it go wrong.
4.20 weeks scan is to see the baby well being / detect anomalies if its normal you don't have to worry.

Hope it helps you. Wish you a good health.
