Are Cipox Ear Drops And Allegra Right Medication For Ear Infection?
Hi, I am a 33 year old women professional. I have a small hole in my right year and 2 days ago I observed discharge of light yellow colored liquid. My ENT doctor prescribed me the following medicines: Ciplox D ear drop, Allegra 120 1x10 tabs, Cepodem 200, 2x5 days. 5 days ago I completed a similar set of medicines except the antibiotics, DOXY 100, 2x5 days. Do you have any suggestions for me? This infection is giving me real trouble. Thank you.
Your symptoms are pointing towards ear infection leading to pus discharge that is appearing as a yellow colored liquid. At times perforation of the eardrum can cause infection in the ear while infection in the ear can also cause perforation of eardrum due to perforation. You need to take another course of antibiotics like Cepodem, Augmentin etcetera. Along with it, you can also take painkillers if there is a pain in the ear. Use antibiotic ear drops and decongestant nasal spray like Otrivin. In case if the symptoms do not get better, you can be advised manual drainage of ears so that infection heals faster.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Honey Arora
