Are Clindamycin And Clotrimazole Vaginal Suppositories Safe To Use During Pregnancy?

I am 4 months pregnant and have been advised to take clindamycin & clotrimazole soft vaginal suppositories. I forgot to keep it at night and I have kept it in the morning at around 9 am. Is it ok? There are still 2 more capsules in the pack. When should I use other 2 capsules? Will it harm my baby as i had vaginal bleeding before month and i am on bed rest since then.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The medication would be okay with your pregnancy and should not harm your baby.
They would treat the infection present.

Normally it is advised to use at night because this is the time a person is laying still the longest and the medication would have time to act but if you are on bed rest and laying down during the day, it should be okay.

The medication should normally indicate how to use, it is normally once daily but you can take a look to confirm this.
This means , since you used the first dose this morning, you should use a second dose tomorrow.

I hope this helps
