I am 11 weeks pregnant with twins and have been taking floic acid once and duphaston twice a day. two days ago i changed my doctor who raised the doseage of duphaston to three times a day and an injection of Polution Depot (250mg) once every five days. he also prescribed Aspi-Cor (adult low strength asprin). i am 55 pounds and had a misscarriage three and a half months before this pregnancy. i think that the prescribed medication is a bit too

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Duphaston contains dydrogesterone that is used in the treatment of threatened or recurrent miscarriage during pregnancy, painful menstruation, vaginal bleeding, infertility, hormone replacement therapy etc. Again, Proluton depot injection is used in the prevention of miscarriage and lowering the risk of premature birth in pregnant women who have had a premature delivery. On the other hand, Aspi Cor contains low dose aspirin that is used in the prevention of early pregnancy loss, preterm birth, still birth, fetal growth restriction, onset of eclampsia etc. All three medications that are prescribed by your gynaecologist, are needed for you for a successful pregnancy as you have a history of miscarriage. If you have still any doubt regarding this matter for then you can consult your gynaecologist for further information.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
