Are Essentiale Forte Capsules Effective In Treating Hepatitis Infection?

sir, i am 36 year old married male suffering form hepatitis b since 1999. and now days i am using legalon forte 1 capsule after dinner.so please tell me legalon good for hepatitis treatment .some one told me essentiale forte is better for hepatitis b.please guide me. thanks and best regards imranqaiser92gmail.com

Hello,

You are a hepatitis B carrier patient. For that regular monitoring of SGOT, SGPT needed. If they remain high, then HBeAg and HBV DNA have to be checked. Otherwise no need for any medication. Legalon proved beneficial in a few clinical trials. But still cannot eliminate HBsAg from the blood. Consult gastroenterologist for examination.
