Are HCG 5000 Injections Advisable During Pregnancy?

I am 37 years old. Two and a half years ago when I was 7 months pregnant I suffered miscarriage. Now I am pregnant again(7 weeks gestation).I have consulted two different doctors one of whom has advised HCG 5000 injection once every week while the other doctor wants me to take Lonopin 60 mg every day My question is :would it be harmful if I take both types of injections together?

Hello dear
Understand your concern
First you have to find the cause of miscarriage likethyroid disorder, diabetes, genetic problem in one or both partner, antiphospholipid antibody syndrome and other autoimmune disorder.

HCG 5000 injection is given in high risk pregnancy (history of miscarriage) to prevent the miscarriage.
It support the pregnancy and does not affect the baby.
It should be given till the 10th week of pregnancy to prevent again the miscarriage.

Lonopin is generally given in the antiphospholipid antibody syndrome or autoimmune vascular disease.
It given IN APLA syndrome to maintain the blood supply once cardiac activity found in the USG scan.
It does not affect the baby in APLA syndrome case. So first clear the your cause of miscarriage and then take proper treatment.
You can also use aspirin.

Following long term side effects will occur on you:
bone pain, Osteoporosis and decreased platelet count.
So first clear the reason of taking lonopin by asking the doctor.

You can also take folic acid up to 12 week of pregnancy for proper growth of baby. Regular follow up by consulting the OBGYN and fetal medicine specialist to monitor the growth of baby
Hope this may help you
