Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Are Holter Monitor Readings Suggestive Of Supraventricular Tachycardia?
I had a 24 hr holter moniter done. It showed ventricular ectopy,
14 couplets evants, 1237/1 pvc 433/0 single/late VE's, 3/15 Bi Trigeminy beats plus supraventicular ectopy= 3atrial runs, single pac's 166, fastest 162bpm, longest 17 beats. i have been diagnosed with Supra Ventricular tachy, I've had depressed st segments in the past. I also have dymlinating poly neuropathy affecting the sympathetic nerves system.
After going through your medical query I understand your concern and I would like to tell you that yes your holster is suggestive of intermittent Supraventricular tachycardia which needs to be managed either with meds or Intensive procedure like RFA.
It’s recommended for you to consult a cardiologist personally to start you on the first line of treatment.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Bhanu Partap, Cardiologist
