Are K Mac, Urispas And Marifur Effective In The Treatment Of UTI?

Hi mam I am 28 yrs old I am married I am trying for 2nd baby suddenly I have urinary infection past 3weeks doctor referred k Mac syrup , urispas, marifur tablet is it s safe. I am very confused now I am taking tablet I have severe headache, vomiting sensation , slightly fever,, dry mouth ...Side effects.so pls consider my problem.

Your urinary tract infection (UTI) is correctly being treated with K Mac syrup ( containing magnesium citrate); marifur (nitrofurantoin) tablet. Urispas is containing an anti-cholinergic drug called flavoxate which will soothe the urinary pathways, relieving the symptoms you might have. This drug unfortunately is associated with side effects like dry mouth, voming sensation. However, on the other hand, UTI itself is associated with slightly fever, headache and vomiting sensation depending on the severity of the symptoms. If the symptoms started after taking the tablets, report this as side effect in order to change therapy. Meanwhile, drink plenty of fluids, cranberry and uva-ursi tea can help.
