Are Sulfasalazine And Humira Safe During Pregnancy?
Hello , my doctor prescribed me Sulfasalasine 500mg tablets 2 times a day, I am alsto taking Humir for rheumatoid artitis. Is is safe if I want to be a pregnant? I am trying for baby 2 years and no luck. Can by rheumatoid problem for me? I am 40 years odl and a I have 1 boy 4 years old...Thank you very much

Hi I think you should consult a gynecologist for complete examination. Get a thyroid profile and prolactin level and a ultrasound done to see uterus and ovaries. You should also consult a physician for change of medication if you want to plan a pregnancy as humira is not advisable during pregnancy. Sulfasalazine can be used during pregnancy. Hope it helps.
