OBGYN, Maternal and Fetal Medicine 's  Response
Hi, I have gone through your question. Augmenting is not completely safe for the fetus and is known to necrotising enterocolitis in babies those who were exposed to this drug in pregnancy. It is a condition in which there is decreased blood supply to the babies gut.
Asthalin and fortacort inhalers are safe for the fetus in pregnancy.
I would suggest you to get back to your physician for a different antibiotic.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Wishing you good health.
