Are Anxiety, Fatigue And Weight Gain Symptoms Of Hashimoto S Disease?
I have been diagnosed with Hashimoto s... But my doctor is waiting for the bloodcount to go higher..... Thyrotropin receptor AB, Serum - .89 TSH - 1.850 T4 Free Direct S - 1.12 Thyroid Antibodies - 207 Thyroglobulin, Antibody - 14.3 My symptoms....Anxiety, Fatigue, fingernails chipping, hair on my head hurts....anger outbursts. hand shakes...weight gain of 7 lbs..... Just had more blood work today....next appt July 7....follow-up to see if the Dr will put me on medication
Hashimoto's thyroiditis and subsequent hypothyroidism caused by this autoimmune disease is the cause of anxiety, weight gain and fatigue. There is no cure for the disease. But thyroid hormone supplementation will help in reducing the symptoms. Thyroxine should be started and the improvement should be assessed with thyroid function test every 20 to 30 days.
