Are Back Pain And Abdominal Discomfort With No Period Symptoms Of Pre Menopause?

Hi I am 42 years old and am single with no children. I don t have a man in my life currently. I have missed a period last month and am usually very regular. I had all signs of PMS and suffered from back and abdominal discomfort and body ache like I usually do before a period. Does this mean that I m pre menopausal? Thank you

Hello,
Welcome to HCM.

I do not think that back pain and abdominal discomfort are symptoms of pre-menopause.

It could occur occasionally that a woman may miss a period but that does not mean you are going into menopause.

You may take some over the counter pain killers like diclofenac 100 mg or ibuprofen 400 mg twice daily along with antacids for symptomatic relief.

If back pain and abdominal persists then see gynecologist for further evaluation.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
