Are Breathing Difficulty And Swelling In Hands And Feet Normal During Pregnancy?
My daughter is 34 weeks pregnant and is experiencing extreme swelling of the feet and hands. She has tried putting her feet up and icing them but this doesn t seem to be doing anything. She also has a slightly hard time breathing. Is this something to be concerned about?

Hi, Thanks for writing to Health Care Magic, I am Dr Asad Riaz, I have closely read your question and I understand your concerns, I will hereby guide you regarding your health related problem. swelling n difficulty in breath in ur case is due to pregnancy Bcs as belly size increases lead to difficulty in breathing and due to pressure on vessels lead to edema(swelling).. these are normal in pregnancy but it can also due to heart prob .. so if u were my patient I would like to do some tests like ECG , echo through exam n history so I can rule any severe disease n if it is there will treat it accordingly I hope this answered your question, if you have more feel free to ask.
Regards.
