Are Bumps On My Vagina Due To Tampon Use Or Are They Any STD ?

I have been using tampons for about 9 years and within the past year every month like clockwork on the third day of my period I get thea bumps or blisters in the same spot, on the left side of my vagina. I have tried changing brands but that has not helped or solved anything. Could this be an std that comes regularly as if scheduled or set off by my tampon use?

Hi,

Welcome to HCM.

Since these blisters come and go on their own, you do not have to worry about them. Most likely they are caused by some kind of allergy which need not necessarily be due to tampoons.

Maintain good hygiene by cleaning the area with antiseptic solutions. If they are of persisting character then herpes has to be considered.
