Are Cardio And Weight Training Exercises Advisable While Suffering With Fever?
I had plans to do some exercise at a fitness center when I suddenly gained a sore throat early in the day. According to a thermometer, I m running a temperature of 99.3 degrees (though the accuracy is questionable). Simple question: would it be safe to do cardio and weight training in this condition?
As per your query i understand your zeal towards fittness, but it is advisable not to do cardio and weight training excercises as you suffering from fever and sore throat. While doing excercises body BMR i.e Basic Metabolic Rate tend to increase but due to fever your body BMR is low this will cause imbalance in your energy levels and due to this your body will be in state of stress.
Due to this your symptoms will exagerrate and your condition will become bad. You can do very mild streching at home just not to break your continuity.
I would suggest you to wait for 3 days. Get your symptoms relieved properly and then continue your fitness center.
