Are Chronic Cramps In The Body Due To Cymbalta?

I started taking 30mg of Duloxetine (Cymbalta) once daily 4 days ago. I have also been taking 900mg of Gabapentin (Neurontin) three times daily, 7.5-325mg of Hydrocodone-Acetaminophen (Norco) 3 times daily and 2 220mg Aleve once daily. I have been taking medication for chronic neck/arm pain and back/leg pain caused by 6 herniated discs as well as some other issues related to these. I also take 10mg of Melatonin daily to help me sleep, allergy medicine as needed and a multivitamin daily. I woke up this morning with some serious cramping. I seldom ever get cramping and when I do, it s usually not this severe. Could my cramping be caused by the Cymbalta that I just started taking?

Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor service.
I reviewed your query and here is my advice.
The cramps from cymbalta may be possible but it is a very rare event. The situation may be related to dehydration or electrolytic disbalance expecially low potassium levels.
Try to keep hydrated and increase potassium rich foods in your duet such bananas, potatoes, nuts, avocados etc.
Hope I have answered the question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
