Are Cough, Body Ache And Clear Mucus Discharge From Nostril Contagious?

I had what I highly was a cold which went away after a week but in the last few days I didn t sleep well and now my symptoms are a light chest cough, stuffy nose out of one nostril, clear mucus (mainly that I can blow out of my nose, I coughed up a little yellow phlegm yesterday). A little body ache fatigue but it s not bad. I don t think I have a fever. Am I still contagious? I have little kids and am trying to keep my distance but it s hard.

Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
The symptoms what you have been describing appears that you have upper respiratory tract infection. You are contagious and could easily spread the infection. Kindly wear mask to cover your mouth and nostrils and wash your hands with soap and water along with use of sanitizer regularly to avoid infection through fomites.
Kindly do the following to overcome the infection.
1. Do salt water gargling with warm water thrice a day.
2. Use steam inhalation to liquefy the mucous for easy drainage.
3. Take mucolytic-decongestant medications in the form of syrup containing Ambroxyl/Bromhexine, Guaifenesin and Chlorpheniramine maleate as ingredients.
4. In case you feel feverish and body aches, you need to take Tablet. Paracetamol with Ibuprofen combination after food.
5. Take medicated lozenges for throat soothening effect when necessary.
6. If the sputum is persistent with yellow colour, you need to take a course of antibiotics like Azhithromycin.
Strictly avoid consumption of cold items like cold drinks and ice cream.
Your symptoms should getter soon by adopting to above measures.
