Are Coughing Bouts Post Exposure To The Fumes Of Spray Paint A Concern?

I didn't an art project, and it was in my room– and it involved spray paint. I had the door open, and a window too, but the fumes were stronger and my mask didn't do well. I inhale do quite a bit, but I don't feel too bad. Just a little coughing

Will I be okay?

Hi..
Thanks for the query..

As per your complain coughing after inhaling spray paint fumes seems to be most probably due to irritation of throat mucosa with the spry paint and also there can be constriction of bronchioles with the irritation caused by spray paint leading to coughing..

As you do not have any other symptoms you need not to worry as you will be alright soon..

As of now you can do warm saline gargles and along with it you can take cough suppressant containing Dextromethorphan..
Do steam inhalations..

In case if there is worsening of symptoms you can consult a Physician and get evaluated..

Hope this helps..

Regards.
