Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Are Dizziness, Cramps, Abdominal Pain And Increased Appetite Suggestive Of Pregnancy?
Hi. I ve been lightheaded/dizzy, headaches, cramping/abdominal pain, mood swings, fatigue, increased appetite and a faster heartbeat especially when laying on my stomach. And when I lay on my stomach now it hurts even though this is usually the way I prefer to sleep. Could I be pregnant?
The symptoms you mention can be experienced by pregnant women but are not specific to pregnancy. This means that other conditions may cause such symptoms as well.
If you had a delayed period I would recommend you to have a pregnancy test done. This will better determine if the symptoms are due to pregnancy or not. If you do not have a delayed period then the symptoms very likely are not due to pregnancy and if you have these complaints for another week or so, you may need to see your doctor.
I hope this answers your query. I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.
Regards, Dr. Antoneta Zotaj General and Family Physician
