Are Dizziness Followed By Feeling Of Vomiting And Tingling Arm A Cause For Concern?

Hi, my husband has experienced dizziness as sitting down and like vomiting twice within 4 hours of each. Also, he says there is tingling under his left arm. We went to CVS and BP was 180 over 90. Normal for him is 120 over 70? Does he need to go to the er?

Hi. Thanks for your query in HCM. I am Dr.Aliem, and I am pleased to answer your query. Your husband's BP is definitely higher than normal. Sudden onset of these symptoms, especially for the first time, is suggestive of some diseases, like stroke or cervical spondylosis. I suggest you to take him to ER as early as possible. He may need an urgent CT scan or MRI of brain to rule out stroke, which needs urgent treatment. Even if it is not stroke, he needs treatment for his hypertension. Hope this helps.
