Are Dry Cough, Painful Throat Hoarse Voice Symptoms Of Tuberculosis ?

Dear Doctors, My mom was diagnosed to have a Tuberculosis just recently. And now, I have a hard and dry cough , painful throat , hoarse voice in the morning but it will disappear hours later. Is this something I should worry about? Are these symptoms of tuberculosis? Should I go to my ENT or go to a pulmonary doctor. Please help. from RK

Welcome to HCM.
You have to be careful for cross infection.
Symptoms of short duration do not indicates TB. infection.
After about one month of regular treatment ,there will be no active infection,so chances of cross infection reduces.

The above signs and symptoms are suggestive of URTI (upper respiratory tract infections).... The symptoms of TB are evening rise of temperature, loss of weight, loss of appetite, cough more than one month..Do not get worried... you can take Tab.Levoflox 500mg daily once for 3 days..That is more than enough,. also cetrizine tab may be helpful...
