Are Early Morning Nausea And Sore Nipples Indicators Of Pregnancy?

hi, for the past few days i feel very nauseas, yak..... i thougt it was acid reflux cause i do get the occasional sour fluid flowing up..... but for a few mornings when i brush my tongue i feel like i want to vomit, nothing comes out tho. Today i feel very odd, like i wana just sticl my finger down my throat and force myself to vomit, i have the vomit feeling, but like i say nothing comes out. My boobs were extremely painfull for about 2 weeks and the nipple area is a little sore and sensitive. my last period was at the beginning of October 2011. I feel more nauseas when i am hungry, dont know y, and i am not starving myself. Could i be pregnant or just reacting to a bug. Regards Jacqui

Hi Jacqui, you have missed your periods; then these all symptoms have to be considered for diagnosis of pregnancy.
Nausea and vomiting start about 10-15 days after missed period. There may be even water brash also.
Usually there is frequency for urination.
The breasts also become engorged and somewhat tender after 8-15 days of missed period. If you never had any pregnancy prior to this, you may note the hypercolouration of your nipples and areola (pinkish discoloured area around the nipple), may start becoming darker in colour and may become even brownish also. However this discolouration varies according to the complexion of the person. Lesser is the discolouration fairer the girl. This is important only in first pregnancy since the change is permanent. Also in pregnancy, the size of areola increases with somewhat fainter discolouration of breast skin around the areola. The nipples also become sore.
From your symptoms you appear to be pregnant; however pregnancy cannot be and should not be diagnosed only on these subjective symptoms. Please get examined from your gynae doctor, get your urine test done on first morning urine sample and get your ultrasonography done. All these three things together will confirm the diagnosis of your pregnancy and the viability of the embryo also.
