Are Eating Disorders Categorized Under Psychological Disorder?

Hello, I have a question about eating disorders. Are eating disorders a disease or is it a lack of will power and self control. If it is a disease can it be corrected with enough willpower? For example, if a person eats too little, could they force themselves to eat more without any negative effects?
