Are Elevated Levels Of SGPT And SGOT A Cause For Concern?

hi,
i am 32 year old my sgpt is 86.2, sgot is 38.10
i did test last week, so all health report is normal , but sgpt and sgot is on higher side , normal value in lab shows sgpt 12-78 and sgot 15-37, it can be a problem for pre employment medical reports ?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...
Your SGPT level of 86.2 & SGOT level of 38.10 is slightly high & should not be much significant if you have no other symptoms. It can be due to alcohol intake or intake of some drugs or medicines in past some time. If you have taken alcohol in past week or so, stoppage of alcohol intake would be helpful. According to me it should not be a problem for pre employment medical reports.
If you are having some symptoms of illness such as fever, nausea, decreased hunger, lack of concentration you should consult a doctor as this finding can be symptom of some disease or illness.

Refer to a physician, if these levels still remains on higher side.
