Are Elevated Protein Levels And Spots In Lungs Signs Of Cancer?

I was told that spots were seen on my lungs and that my protein levels were high. They are saying I need to go see a specialist. Are these symptoms of any type of cancer? Or is there any other medical condition that could explain this? Thank you in advance.
