Are Fatigue And Irregular Menstruation Symptoms Of Menopause?
Hi, I am 55 years old woman. Still have my periods ( lately coming unregulated) Feel tired, fatigue, no energy. Taking blood pressure medicine and vitamins. Thought I am going through the changes, but is it possible to have periods same time? My Doctor said that everybody is different. Did a blood test for hormones, been told that I am close to menopause ( it was about a year ago) Don t know what to think.
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern... Yes irregularity of menstrual cycle, Feeling tired, fatigueness could be a premenopausal symptom(woman close to menopause). Yes these changes could take place even when you continue to have periods. You are also 55 years old which is average time of onset of menopause. However a woman cannot be labelled as having menopause until she has not had any vaginal bleeding for a year. So in you menopause has not still taken place. There is nothing to be concerned about peri-menopausal symptoms. It is a normal physiologic change and therefore it does not automatically require any kind of medical treatment. These changes are due to low oestrogen hormone production by ovaries.
Refer to your gynaecologist, for further queries Hope this information helps
