Are Fever, Abdominal Bloating And Vomiting Symptoms Of Stomach Flu?
I am thinking stomach flu, wedsday when i left work was not feeling well-nautious and I took a nap-when i got up my pulse was about 115-slight fever but blood pressure ok. Scared me a little went to the Er they ran blood work, did 12 pount ekg and monitored me- eventually giving me saline as i was dehydrated. All the tests came back ok. Thursday i had some diareha improving now but i have had a abdominal bloating thursday night and friday- during points throwing up green bile but was not eating, today i woke up in morning bloating and most symptoms minus the sore stomach from vomiting. I ate regular food now feel bloated again but not sick-is this stomach flu?
The symptoms seem to be related to stomach flu. I suggest to use an over the counter option to treat diarrhea such as Imodium. I also suggest using daily probiotics. I recommend to stay hydrated and eat a plain diet which should contain bananas, rice and toast.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
