Are Fever, Sore Throat And Itching In Groin Area Signs Of Herpes Infection?

I had a sexual encounter with a stripper this past saturday morning around 3AM. I was drunk and it was an unprotected encounter. Monday, I developed a slight, slight fever and a sore throat. The sore throat has been relatively constant and the fever has been in and out with no other symptoms - except on Monday, I started getting a red, flat, rash right in the crease between my thigh and my groin and it has also started to develop on the opposite side in the same area. It looks like the skin is irritated and turning into a stretch mark, and obviously gets worse as I constantly look at it and move the skin. The only other symptoms I have are some itchiness here and there around my butt/groin, but I think that s all psychological. Does this sound like a possible herpes infection? It is now Wednesday, roughly 4 days after the encounter. No lesions, boils, scabs, ulcers or sores are present anywhere else concerning.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The unprotected sexual encounter would reveal possible lesions of viral infections sexually transmitted first over penis and not groin. Groin concern comes secondary to penile pathology as in terms of lymph node enlargement or else. However, for clinical confirmation, kindly consult your primary care to rule out any obvious STD. Yes, sore throat seems to be strep related and needs intensive care with physician.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
