Are Flat Red Spots That Look Like Ringworm With All STD Tests Negative Still A HIV Rash ?
Hi, I thought I had an allergic reaction a few weeks ago, but now it looks like ringworm, but there are also some flat red spots. I had oral sex with a girl a few months ago and tested for hiv and other stds a month ago, but they were negative. Other info: athletes foot over a month ago from exercise at the gym, my dog has fleas that also have bitten me recently. Do you have any clue if it is a hiv rash or not. None of the pictures I see seem to match my condition.
Oral sex carries a very minimal risk for HIV/STD. So nothing to worry.
How long after the high risk activity, you had your tests for HIV/STD. If these tests were carried out 3 months after that incident and if all were negative, it indicates that you are free fro HIV/STD. Otherwise the tests have to be repeated. Regarding rashes, with early HIV manifestations rashes are not common. Ring worm infestation and flea bite lesions can manifest as flat red lesions. Consult your Dermatologist. He/she will help you for your recovery. Get well soon. Dr S.Murugan
