Are Fluctuating Thyroid Levels Normal?

My thyroid levels keep changing so I need more and more synthroid (just raised to 225 mcg from 200). Is this normal? I have been taking the hormone for years (lost thyroid about 20 years ago due to autoimmune thyroiditis). I am absolutely compliant and take it a minimum of 30 min before eating in the morning.

Dear thanks for clicking HCM.

It's not normal, fluctuating thyroid levels are cause of concerns. Although you are compliant with treatment , fluctuating levels need to be examined and corrected. You might have to split the dosage into components. You must discuss this with your doctor or a thyroid expert . Morever do your thyroid test from same laboratory every time.

I hope my reply will benefit you. Please click to HCM for further queries. I wish you good health. Hit a thank. Thank you
