Are Foul Odored Stool And Inflamed Colon Symptoms Of IBS?

Recently, my poop has been smelling strong (I surmise like bile--it s also greenish), and my colon has been extremely inflamed. Could this be a gall bladder or IBS issue? I thought the strong odor might also indicate blood, but the poop isn t green or black.

Hello,
This does not sound like IBS. It could be a colon or gallbladder issue. If your colon is inflamed you need to see a gastroenterologist to get a colonoscopy to determine the cause. You may also need an ultrasound of the gallbladder area. See your doctor as soon as possible to make sure that you get the referrals to specialists as needed
