Are Frequent Bowel Movements Normal After Starting Healthy Eating Habits?

I recently changed my eating habits. I stopped eating sugar and sodas.I have been drinking teas with honey. Eating fruits and vegetables, and drinking water, sometimes with lemon ,or cucumber infused. I ve noticed an increase in my bowel movements. Is this normal? Sometimes I can go up to three or four times.

Hi Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern.
There may be many reasons for increase in bowel movements. Most common reason is senstivity to a certain fruit & vegetable. Findout what is that & avoid that. Otherwise Following steps may be taken in general:-
- Eliminating high-gas producing vegetables especially cabbage, radish, broccoli and cauliflower .
-You may be sensitive to types of carbohydrates called FODMAPs .They are found in onion, garlic, apples, apricots, avocados, blackberries, cherries, etc. If you have increased bowel movement after having them, avoiding these.
- Dont drink too much watera fter having food.
-Taking fiber supplements such as psyllium or methylcellulose may help control bowel movements.

Don't worry you would be fine
Hoping your query is solved.
