Are Headache, Vertigo And Hot Feeling In Back Of Head Symptoms Of TIA?
I had a massive headache yesterday for a few hours and was very irritable. After laying down to watch TV last night for a while, I felt a very hot feeling to the back of my head that was spreading, that area became numb as well. I felt Like hot water was being poured over the lower back of my head but through the inside. I felt very disoriented and unwell and decided to go to sleep. Today I woke up very disoriented, with severe vertigo. Couldn t even walk/drive well. Am I having a TIA?
** 1. symptoms of dizziness, weakness [unable to drive/walk] should be evaluated by a Neurologist since TIA is a stroke which reverses itself and all symptoms go away within 24 hours and if you continue to experience symptoms afterwards then either problem is more than TIA or there could be associated risk factors [high blood pressure, smoking, low blood sugar]
2. Neurologist might take an ultrasound of caratoid arteries and heart along with EEG, Brain CAT Scan and Brain MRI for any permanent damage or cause of the TIA.
3. Since TIA is a medical emergency thus you should check in an emergency department and not any general practitioner as for now.
