Are Headaches And Scabs Due To Picking On Scalp?

I was raped at christmas time and since then i have been very anxious and have started picking at my scalp. Its gradually got worse and now i have scabs all over my head and a dull and occasionally slightly throbbing headache. Could the headaches be caused by the picking?

Dear
Welcome to HCM
We understand your concerns

I went through your details. Your current head ache is not due to pricking but is due to an anxiety disorder called tichotillomania. Pricking of scalp is the typical symptom. You will ne abxious and nervous throughout. I suggest you to consult a psychologist / psychiatrist for treatment and cognitive behavior therapy. Take care.

If you still need my assistance in this regard, please use this link. http://goo.gl/aYW2pR. Please remember to describe the whole problem with full detail.

Hope this answers your query. Available for further clarifications.
Good luck.
