Are Headaches Normal During Termination Of Pregnancy?
Dear Doctor. Iam 36 years old and had a medical abortion and bleeding was supposed to start on 23November 2015. I was told the pregnancy was 5 weeks at the time because I had my last periods on 16 October 2014. My cycle is 24 days. After the medical abortion, bleeding did not start on that day but started the next day on 24 November. But the bleeding has just been like a normal period without any clots. Is this normal or the abortion may have been unsuccessful? Secondly I have been having headaches. Is this also normal? Please advise..
Hi Welcome to HCM I have gone through your query, I will try to give you suggestion which will be helpful to you
if the bleeding has began, that indicate the abortion has started. But you have to go for ultrasound after two weeks to rule out incomplete abortion. Headache might be due to stress.
This provisional advice provided by me is based entirely on the input provided to me. I would suggest examination by the doctor.
I hope this suggestion might be of some help to you. Take care.
