Hello,

While it is possible for cortisone injections to cause heart problems in some individuals, it is rare. The risk of heart problems may be higher in people who already have underlying cardiovascular disease or risk factors, such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or a history of smoking.

Cortisone injections can cause an increase in blood pressure and fluid retention, which can put strain on the heart. In rare cases, they can also cause an irregular heartbeat or heart failure. It is important to talk to your doctor about any potential risks or side effects of cortisone injections, especially if you have a history of heart problems or risk factors for heart disease.

Your doctor may recommend alternative treatments or precautions to minimize the risk of heart problems. It's worth noting that many factors can contribute to heart problems, and it may not be possible to definitively attribute your husband's heart issues to the cortisone injection.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
