Are Heating Pads Effective For Pain Post Chemotherapy?

I ve been on pain medicine for about 2 months now. I wasn t constipated in the beginning but now I am. Being on chemo I can t take a lot of the relief meds out there. I ve been using a heating pad on my abdomen because the pain is so tense most of the time. I was just wondering if the heating pad is a good idea or a bad idea?

Hi,

Heating pad can provide symptomatic relief without any major side effects. However it will not work in conditions like severe pain. In that case you can use higher end analgesics.
