Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Last week I got a cortisone shot for allergy--itching all over. My blood pressure went up (highest 196/106), and my heart rate went down (lowest 50). Are these related? Heart rate was 58 this morning. BP is now about 145/85 when I wake up. My BP is usually normal.
Hi welcome to HCM Yes, as you mentioned there is an inverse relationship between heart rate and blood pressure. But not always if your bp remain persistently high, consult your doctor , otherwise no need to worry Thank you
