Are Incoherent Behavior, Stress And Insomnia Signs Of Stroke?
My brother is incoherent, talks non-stop, demands we write down what he says, says he has insights no one else has had in the history of the world, and is not sleeping well, and is going through stress. He is currently on vacation in Cancun, Mexico and is acting erratically. He is 73. Both of my grandmothers died of strokes. Could this be a symptom of a stroke? He was taken to a hospital last night, but refused a CAT scan. Is there a risk to flying home without medical tests?

Hello,
It may not be stroke. Microvascular brain injury can cause similar symptoms.You can consult a neurologist and get evaluated. An MRI scan may be needed to look for any neurological causes.
